Hello! My name is Jane Kwak, and I am a current junior attending Fullerton Union High School located in SoCal. Some activities I enjoy include public speaking in Speech and Model UN, hanging out with friends, studying in cafes, and writing! I wanted to create this website to expand my knowledge of problems in the status quo while still engaging in activitIes I enjoy doing. I hope to spread awareness around global issues using this platform!

Hello! My name is Yena Oh, and I am currently a junior at Sunny Hills High School! Aside from being a student, I am also a violinist at The Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, California. In addition, I love dogs, hanging out with friends, and eating! I decided to work with my co-founder, Jane, on this website because I wanted to provide a platform for students to be able to bring awareness to as well as become more in-tune with the world and its current events!

Hey there! My name is Sylvia Kim and I'm currently a junior. Some of my hobbies include tennis, reading, watching movies, hanging with friends, and finding good eats. Through this platform, I hope to give students a voice to spread knowledge and share their passions!

Hello! My name is Alice Chae, and I am currently a sophomore attending Sunny Hills High School. Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis, hanging out with my friends, and eating! I joined The Scholar Series to not only utilize my journalism experience to spread awareness of global and local issues but to also learn more about the problems around us. I look forward to contributing to the future magazines and get more involved with the community!

Hi everyone! My name’s Lena Lee, and I go to The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas. I’m part of my school’s varsity color guard, which is what I spend most of my time doing. Outside of color guard, I enjoy making jewelry, art, and I have two cats named Juni and Maru! I’ve always been interested in societal issues and I’m currently taking journalism at my school. I plan to be a lawyer because I truly am passionate about social justice, and I can’t wait for what’s to come!

I love mountain biking on different trails, baking goods for my friends, building computers, eating new foods from around the world, and listening to Kanye. I decided to join The Scholar Series not only because of my interest in global current events but also how it all ties into the daily lives of students like me.
